The New Contemplative Jive Hours will be on a "winterly hiatus" for the next several weeks. When it returns in 2008, TNCJH will will be moving to Tuesday late nights during the same time slot. Check back in late January (maybe the 20th or thereabouts) for updates.
Due to the success of (a.k.a. my enjoyment of) the winter finale, more "special" shows may be on the way in '08. Some tentative plans: an instrumental show, an "opposite" show, and more!
So keep your jive boots on, poughkeepsie, cause you ain't seen the stars in santa fe 'til the night boat comes rolling in!

Airing 6 - "Last Holiday (feat. Queen Latifah)"
The 2007 finale and seasonal extravaganza. My only regret is that I didn't get around to playing Jim Jones' "Ballin' On Xmas." If you were away in a manger for the broadcast and want some joy in your world, deck your ear canals with this: (not so) silent night (there's some swears in the 50min-60min area, so hide the kids! (see the note on the righthand side of the blog for download instructions))
The New Contemplative Jive Hours will return to the airwaves in late January of 2008.

Airing 5 - "Nor'easter"
A flood of requests this week, thanks to all who called in. Also, presenting for the first time, a complete airing of the show available to you online. (see the note on the righthand side of the blog for download instructions): hear here

Airing 4 - "Swinger's Ball"
November 27:
The most under-control outing to date; Ran like a smooth buttery muffin. The first recorded evidence of the ever-more-refined "opening words" is included. A few tracks in the middle of the show were lost to the vaults of space and time due to a oversized silence (which stops the recording apparatus), but the rest can be found in two parts (links to stream the files, click the little blue "downlod" button on the page to keep them): primero , segundo (EDIT: This show is no longer available for download)
here's what went down (times are approximated):

Airing 3 - "Return to Normalcy"
November 20:
My first attempt at recording was made, and it was a bittersweet affair. The first many minutes are missing, but the rest can be downloaded at this fine location. EDIT: this airing is no longer available for download.
Here's a playlist, with some play order errors which I'm not really going to fix:
The next post promises to be 3-7X better.
